We’re making some updates to our subscription plans starting from 1 March 2025. These changes are designed to support ongoing improvements to Land App while ensuring we continue to provide accessible tools for sustainable land management. Here’s a detailed breakdown of what’s changing, why we’re making these updates, and how they benefit you.
Why We’re Making These Changes
At Land App, we’re committed to delivering a platform that empowers our users to plan and manage their land efficiently. Over the past 18 months, we’ve maintained our pricing despite increasing costs. During this period, we’ve introduced several key updates and features—including updates to the SFI template, launching surveys in Land App Mobile, and improving map visualisations—that were driven by your feedback. Our planned pricing and tier adjustments will help us continue to grow, innovate, and deliver the tools you need.
We also remain dedicated to accessibility. Our Free tier still offers a robust range of features, and we’ve introduced a charity discount to support organisations working towards sustainable land management.
What’s Changing
Standard Subscription Price Update
Starting 1 March 2025, the Standard subscription price will increase to £15 per user per month (from £10). If you opt for the annual plan, you’ll benefit from a discount of 10%. What’s included in the Standard plan:

Unlimited plans within maps
Land App Mobile
Access to premium data layers (including, Geology and Utilities, HM Land Registry Corporate Ownership details and LiDAR imagery)
Instant data layer reports
Editor collaboration tools for seamless teamwork
Enhanced printing capabilities with branding options

Validation tools for SFI and CS plans
20% discount on prints and data purchases

Updates for all Users
Due to popular demand, all users will be able to delete maps and plans from their accounts by the end of March 2025.
Updates to the Free Tier
We’re ensuring that the Free tier remains valuable while setting limits to balance resources fairly. The new limits for Free-tier users are:
A maximum of 25 plans per map.
A limit of 4 archived maps at any time.
Additionally, Geology & Utilities data layers and the option to remove the Land App logo on printed maps will now be part of the Standard and Professional tiers.
Referral Programme Update
From 1 March 2025, each successful referral will earn you £5 credit (previously £10). Free-tier users are also eligible to participate, meaning everyone can benefit from our referral programme. Read our referral guide for more details on referrals.
Charity Discount
To support charitable organisations, we’re introducing a 20% subscription discount for charities. Eligible organisations with a valid charity number can contact our Support Channel to claim the discount, ensuring that we continue to support those making a difference in land and environmental management.

Improved User Experience: With the ability to delete maps, managing your projects is easier and more efficient.
Greener Operations: Smaller server footprints resulting from deletable maps contribute to more sustainable operations, in line with Land App’s mission to promote environmental stewardship.
Enhanced Product Development: Your subscription helps fund future updates and innovations, including new high-resolution aerial imagery and Ordnance Survey historic basemaps, the ability to view and edit all plans in Land App Mobile, integrations with property management platforms and improved security features.
What You Need to Do
To prepare for these changes, you can:
Carry on as normal -
If you’re on a Free account, the limits will automatically be applied to the product.
If you’re on a monthly Standard subscription, you will automatically be charged the new rate from the 1st March.
If your annual subscription renews after 1 March 2025 it will renew at the updated prices (£15 per user per month, with a 10% annual discount).
Switch to an annual Standard subscription to save money. You can upgrade through your account settings.
Manage your Free-tier usage to stay within the updated limits. Archive or delete maps to make room for new projects.
Claim the Charity Discount if applicable. Reach out with your charity number to apply for this offer.

These updates have taken place as a result of your feedback and to keep Land App aligned with new agricultural schemes, evolving environmental policy, and emerging natural capital opportunities. We need to continue to invest in the product to bring further improvements and grow as a business. This will ultimately support our mission to help people make sustainable land use decisions through technology and protect our planet’s ecosystems for future generations.

Yes, the price for the Professional subscription will remain at £30+VAT per user per month.
What will happen if I have a Free account with more than four archived maps?

If your archive limit is full, you will need to delete some of your archived maps before you can archive any more maps. We will not auto-delete any of your maps.
What will happen to my maps with more than 25 plans?

If you are on the Free tier and your map has more than 25 plans, you will not be able to create any more new plans until you have archived enough plans to take you below the limit of 25. If you are on Standard or Professional your maps will be unaffected.

If you downgrade from Standard and you have more than four maps, the maps that you have used most recently will remain on your maps dashboard, whilst the rest will be moved into the archived folder. If you have more than 4 maps in the archived folder, you will be unable to archive any more maps until you have deleted some of them down to your limit of four.
