Select the feature you want to adjust and ensure that the adjust function is active by clicking on the icon, yellow is active white is inactive.

You can now interact with the nodes of the feature; moving them to change the shape or adding more nodes. Note - you can add more nodes by simply clicking to add, if you would like to remove a node hold down A and click the node to remove.
