You can use the app to measure distances such as fencing, water pipes, or gaps between trees. You can do this by clicking the yellow + button in the bottom right corner of the map and then clicking the Measure tool icon.
A white transparent dot will appear in the centre of your map, which represents the first point along the distance you wish to measure.
You can adjust this starting point by dragging the basemap in any direction using your fingers.
Once you have positioned your first point, click Add Point in the toolbar at the bottom right of your screen.
To plot the second point, use your fingers to move the basemap so that the white transparent dot in the centre of your map is positioned where you want the second point to be. You will see the distance between the first point and the second point you are about to plot displayed in a yellow box next to the centre point of your map.
Click Add Point again to plot the second point. You can continue to add points in this way until you have plotted your final point, after which you will see the total distance measured between the first and last points displayed in the toolbar at the bottom left of your screen.
As you are measuring, you can undo any points plotted by clicking the undo button at the top right of your screen.
You can also click redo to reverse any undo operations, and you can clear your measurements completely by clicking the X button.
To close the measure tool, you can click the < button in the top left of your screen.
