UKHab Code changes in Land App 2024

The UK Habitat Classification System underpins Land App Baseline Habitat v2 and Land Management Plan v2 templates. In 2023 UKHab V2 was released and there were changes to the codes. The first wave of primary codes was completed in 2023, some minor adjustments to primary codes and the secondary codes in February 2024.

If you have plans created on these templates these have been migrated,

Changes

Primary codes being demoted to secondary codes

  • u1a primary codes (Open Mosaic Habitats on Previously Developed Land) have been migrated to primary code of u and secondary code of 80. u1a primary code has been removed

  • w1g6 primary codes (Line of Trees) have been migrated to primary code of w1g & secondary code of 33. w1g6 primary code has been removed

Updated primary codes

  • Added: r1c7 Acid peat-stained lakes and ponds (H3160)

  • Removed: w1g7 Other broadleaved woodland types (migrated to w1g)
