Land App provides an ever growing range of grant application templates that you can use to conveniently plan your grant applications. These include the Sustainable Farming Incentive, Countryside Stewardship, the English Woodland Creation Offer (EWCO), Sustainable Farming Scheme etc.
Below, we provide guidance on how to use your Land Management Plan (LMP) or Baseline Habitat Assessment (BHA) as the foundation for your grant applications.
Ensure you have mapped all the land uses within your LMP or BHA - This will reduce the amount of editing you need to do in your grant plan and will ensure there is consistency across your plans.
Convert your LMP or BHA to the relevant grant template - To create your grant plan, simply select the three dots to the right of your Land Management Plan and select duplicate Plan.
You are then presented with a list of new plans you can create from your Land Management Plan. Scroll down and select the template relevant to the grant you are interested in applying for. Give your plan a recognisable title (we recommend including the application year) and then click create plan.
Search and assign grant options that align with your land management plans - Click the blank fields in your grant application template. Select ‘Assign use’ and search for payment options suited to your planned changes for that field.
Note: There will not always be grant payment options perfectly aligned with your LMP or BHA. This means it is often worth exploring different available grant schemes and searching the full list of payment options in order to understand which options might work best for your business.
