The Auto‑populate BNG Metric Calculator can only be run from plans created on a Baseline Habitat Assessment plan template.
Click on the three vertical dots next to your plan name and select toolbox
Select the Auto‑populate BNG Metric Calculator tool.
Confirm that you wish to run the tool.
The process will run and you will then be emailed your BNG Metric Calculator Tool Xcel from the address no-reply@thelandapp.com.
Please also note that you can export to the BNG Auto-populator via your Portfolio which allows you to export, either all or a sub-set of your data, straight to the BNG Metric. Should you be exporting large plans which overfill the BNG Metric, please use the portfolio export as it will simplify entries into the BNG Metric
Understanding your auto populated BNG Metric Calculator
You will receive an Excel which has been populated assuming that you intend to be an “Off-site” provider of BNG Units. These will be all sheets prefixed with “Off-Site” such as the one below:
Depending on if you have “Habitat”, “Hedge” and/or “Watercourse” in your baseline and/or if you have done “Creation” or “Enhancement” of those feature types in your Land Management Plan, you will see the entries in the respective sheet. E.g if you created a Hedge by drawing it in your Land Management Plan, it will appear as an entry in the “E-2 Off-Site Hedge Creation” sheet.
