Overview
The Healthy Hedgerow Management Advice tool allows you to receive bespoke management advice from People's Trust for Endangered Species (PTES).
Hedgerows can be biodiversity powerhouses, providing home, food, shelter and connectivity to wildlife across the country, as well as delivering many services to farming and the wider environment. They do all this best when they are in a healthy structural condition.
This free hedgerow management advice from PTES is based on your Healthy Hedgerows Survey data and utilises the Adams 10-point hedge management code (developed by Nigel Adams) to give instant, tailored management options for each hedge surveyed. Hedgerows are healthiest when managed on a lifecycle and the aim of this advice is to guide your management towards that. For more detail on the advice given please explore the PTES hedgerow website.
People’s Trust for Endangered Species is a conservation charity working to bring our most threatened species back from the brink. Their key UK interests include hazel dormice, hedgehogs and deadwood beetles, so hedgerows are a clear priority. Visit their website to find out more about the work they do.
